One property of fractionated coconut oil that distinguishes it from other carrier oils is its composition of primarily medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs).

Fractionated coconut oil undergoes a process called fractionation, which isolates the MCTs from the whole coconut oil. These MCTs, such as caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10), have unique properties that make them easily absorbed by the skin and hair.

They penetrate deeply into the skin's layers and hair follicles, providing excellent moisturization and nourishment without clogging pores or leaving a greasy residue.

This chemical composition sets fractionated coconut oil apart from many other carrier oils and makes it particularly beneficial for skincare and haircare applications.
